JORI implements integrated Objective.MES and T&A solution

29/07/2010

JORI, one of the most important producers of high-class, contemporary design furniture in Europe, has implemented the integrated Objective.MES and T&A solution of De Clercq Solutions in its head office in Wervik, for an optimal follow-up of production orders and employees/staff.

In 1968, Juan Jorion began producing and creating 'contemporary seating' in Wervik in West Flanders (Belgium). Under the name JORI, the company has specialised in high-class, leather, contemporary seating units over the years. Its goal: a perfect combination of exclusive design, optimum seating comfort and high quality.

Today JORI realizes, with 170 employees, a turnover of around 35.8 million EURO. World-wide JORI exports to almost 30 countries. In addition JORI seating units are produced under licence in countries such as Japan, Australia and Singapore. In this way JORI has become one of the most important European manufacturers in its sector.

Throughout its history, the company has always been characterized by its ambition to realize perfection and to improve continuously, which is why JORI has grown into one of the finest manufacturers of leather seats in the world. Even though its craftsmanship is still based on manual production, JORI also uses advanced IT tools when appopriate. Therefore the 10 year old data capture system was recently replaced by the latest versions of Objective.MES and T&A. Thanks to this JORI is able to realize an optimal planning and follow-up of all the stages of its production. The company’s responsibles also have an accurate view on the order and work times so that they can react when necessary and so that they are perfectly aware of the cost and actual cost.

Or as the president of the company, Juan Jorion, puts it: “I see people make things, and I see they want to make them better. I then give them the means and the courage to do so. That's all I do.”
