Casa, specialist in interior decoration, has chosen the software solution Objective T&A (Time & Attendance) of De Clercq Solutions for its European distribution centres at Itegem and Heultje (Belgium). These distribution centres supply 510 Casa stores in 7 countries throughout Europe. Casa carries out its activities with the help of a team of own employees but during rush periods or holiday seasons often also with temporary employees. In order to realise an efficient personnel administration and planning, Casa decided to migrate its former time registration solution (Clockwork) to the Objective T&A module of De Clercq Solutions.
Casa’s primary goal remains the correct registration of time in function of the wages administration of the employees. Furthermore, Casa also wanted to realise other operational targets such as an improved personnel management and planning. A proper access control was one of the other requirements, for which Objective T&A offers the possibility to define very detailed access rules for zones or spaces on the basis of individual and/or group profiles, time schedules, etc.
Casa also wanted to gain a better overview of the cost structure of its personnel activities. To be able to realise this, the Objective module “cost centre reporting” was implemented. This module allows Casa to define an indefinite number of cost centres such as goods receipt, internal transport, expedition, Value Added Logistics, technical service, ...
A standard profile can be defined for each employee as a result of which personnel hours are split up automatically between the cost centres. Another possibility is the registration of the actual time every employee spends on the different cost centres, thanks to a “start and stop labour” registration at the counters. Because of the link with the wages administration a detailed historical report is possible of the cost of the different cost centres that can be used for further adjustments and optimizations.
In the future Casa wants to extend this system by also measuring and quantifying individual tasks, which gives the personnel planner the opportunity to take this into account.
