After ArcelorMittal Bissen, RF Middleware also live at ArcelorMittal Bettembourg

02/11/2009

ArcelorMittal is one of the world's largest steel companies. It is present in more than 60 countries and market leader in automotive, construction, household appliances and packaging. In 2008 the company had revenues of $124,9 billion and a crude steel production of 103,3 million tonnes, representing approximately 10% of world steel output.

A few years ago ArcelorMittal chose Objective as the RF Middleware needed between the ERP system and the production and warehouse in its factory in Bissen, Luxembourg. In 2009 the company decided that the same functionality was to be implemented in its factory in Bettembourg, Luxembourg. This because of the absence of a similar system and because of the conversion to the same ERP system as in Bissen.

The Objective RF Middleware of De Clercq Solutions encompasses all the phases, from reception till expedition. The system acts as a front-end to the central ERP system and as a back-end for data entry, scanning and label printing devices.

Some of the functionalities: reception raw materials, storage, stock transfer, raw material consumption, production follow-up, quality control, barcode or other label printing, returns, inventory, …

Thanks to the system ArcelorMittal now disposes of a correct registration and control in production and in the warehouse.
