Van Oordt PortionPack is specialized in producing portion packs in food / non- food for wholesalers, hotels, cafes, restaurants and catering. The company is a part of the Tiense Suiker group that was acquired by the Südzucker Group in 1989. With 18.000 employees and a return of 5.800 million euro (2008), the Südzucker Group is more or less the leading portion packer of Europe.

The project at Van Oordt PortionPack was a roll-out of the Objective implementation at PortionPack Belgium.

The goal of the project was to guarantee a perfect traceability from raw material to finished product. This why the focus was on the material information flows, which started at the management and registration of received raw material through the picking for production and sale, and the registration of produced pallets till the printing of shipping labels.

The project resulted in an optimized information flow and an improved accuracy and speed of the transactions thanks to the electronic registration and treatment of all the material flows and material consumptions through bar code scanning.
