De Clercq Solutions & IBM start at Ardo Zundert

16/06/2009

Ardo began its activities in the world of vegetables in the 1950s, growing and trading vegetables at the family farm near the village of Ardooie in Belgium. Over the following years, Ardo developed its production and sales of frozen vegetables throughout Europe; today Ardo has 15 production packing units in 9 European countries. The group is still continuously growing, and at the moment freezes and sells 513,000 tonnes of fruit, vegetables, pasta and rice to 54 countries.

Recently they chose the MES system of De Clercq Solutions for the factory at Zundert, where mostly spinach is processed into several finished products. Other frozen vegetable mixtures are also packaged.

Objective controls the QC registration from reception till packaging, and the registration of times, consumptions, OEE and tracking and tracing.

The combination of JD Edwards and Objective covers the automation demands of Ardo. The goal is to use this combination as a guide for the group for the future. De Clercq Solutions will be working together with IBM.
