TE Connectivity

TE Connectivity, the former Tyco Electronics Belgium, produces passive components, mainly for the automotive industry. In this office TE produces connectors and client specific components, as well as inductive systems (a.o. parts for ABS brake systems). Next to molding, stamping, galvanizing and assembling, the Belgian branch disposes of the competence for machine construction.

The plan to strengthen the MES-backbone, or the automatic production management, was brought back to live by a chance meeting with De Clercq Solutions (DCS) on a fair. The two parties began to talk and seemed to find each other very well in this project. The main requirement was met, according to Lode Verstaen, Information System Manager at TE: “Our priority was the molding department, but in the long term this partner had to be able to connect with the different technologies of the other departments. Contrary to most other software suppliers, DCS disposes with Objective of this possibility.”
